William Hanna Clarke sketch book and newspaper cuttings album

Cream cover, with pencil sketches and pasted newspaper cuttings. Contains fifteen sketches in the first part of book, followed by pasted cuttings, loose cuttings etc. These range from 25 September 1915 to 7 December 1928. Also enclosed is a letter from Herbert Chandler, Hon. Sec. of the Greenock Art Club, to a Mr. Brown, thanking him for the loan of a William Hanna Clarke painting. The cuttings album is understood to have been maintained by Margaret Clarke, WHC's daughter.
