[Reverend William Veitch,1640 - 1722]

Oil on canvas, by circle of Sir John Baptist Medina (1659 - 1710), showing Rev Veitch wearing a long brown wig and holding a bible. He was Minister of St. Michael's Church in Dumfries from 1694 to 1715. His wife Marion died the day before he did in 1722, they are buried together in St. Michael's Churchyard.
