A small rectangular fragment of mummy cloth, with very faint traces of the cartouche of Ramesses II inscribed as an identifier by Dr James Grant (Bey). The cloth is cream in colour, and stitched to two facing pieces of paper which bear a printed heading for 'Dr Grant's Sanatorium' and a description of conditions of entry to the same. With an object label created by George Black and Joseph Bisset at the period in which they catalogued Dr Thomas Grierson's collection.
